Information You Submit
Text entered into a name, phone, or address search is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Fountain Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message and any details you include are received so a reply can be sent.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may record ordinary server information such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. This data can be reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
Technical and contact data is used to operate the pages, answer messages, diagnose faults, measure general traffic, and improve the reference. The operators do not sell visitor lists or build an individual profile from the records pages a person reads.
External Links and Search Tools
The directory links to El Paso County and Colorado portals, Pikes Peak Library District collections, archives, courts, and third-party search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy terms and controls what happens to information submitted there. Sponsored search results are supplied by a third party, not by the Fountain site.
Who Processes Technical Data
Hosting, analytics, and advertising service providers may process the automatic information described above. A provider may receive server or measurement data to perform its service. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. No disclosure is made merely because a person is mentioned in an El Paso County or Fountain public record.
Security and Retention
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only as long as the operational, security, measurement, or legal purpose requires. Because there are no site accounts, the operators do not keep a password or user profile that could be exposed here.
People Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information through a contact channel, a parent or guardian may use the Contact page to request review and deletion.
Colorado Privacy Choices
Colorado's Privacy Act, SB21-190, took effect July 1, 2023 and is codified at C.R.S. 6-1-1301 et seq. Depending on the request and statutory scope, a Colorado consumer may have access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights for covered personal data, including certain sale, targeted-advertising, or profiling uses. Global Privacy Control is the recognized universal opt-out signal described by the Colorado Attorney General.
Because this site keeps little direct visitor data, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page to ask about data held by the operators. Public records maintained by Colorado, El Paso County, Fountain, courts, or another custodian are outside this site's control. Removal or correction of those records must be requested from the office that keeps them. The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. 24-72-201 through 24-72-206, does not override a separate confidentiality or retention rule.
Changes to This Policy
