Terms of Use

These terms govern access to Fountain Residents Directory. Using the reference indicates that you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the pages or any linked search service.

1. The Nature of This Reference

Fountain Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections concerning Fountain, El Paso County, and Colorado. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with a city or county office, state agency, court, library, or records custodian.

2. Acceptable Use

Use the pages only for lawful purposes. You may not use the reference or anything reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Locate someone who is protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit fraud, identity theft, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision governed by the FCRA, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the content at scale.
  • Attack, disrupt, or interfere with the pages, search tools, or their security.

3. No Consumer Reports

The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on these pages, and nothing returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. No result may be used to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. Linked Services

County, state, court, library, archive, and sponsored search links lead to services controlled by other parties. Those services have separate terms, privacy practices, fees, availability, and content. Fountain Residents Directory is not responsible for an outside service's operation or data handling.

5. No Warranty

The reference is provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a page, fact, link, portal, coverage statement, fee, or search result is complete, accurate, current, secure, or continuously available. Confirm an important record with its custodian.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource. This includes a decision, loss, or dispute based on a record found through the pages.

7. Your Responsibility

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorney fees, that results from your misuse of the reference, violation of these terms, or unlawful use of information obtained through it.

8. Copyright and Permission

The original wording, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Ordinary linking and short attributed quotations are welcome. Reposting full pages, copying the collection, or systematically extracting content is not permitted without written permission.

9. Changes

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version. Continued use after the revised version appears means that the updated terms are accepted to the extent permitted by law.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a person who violates these terms, abuses a search tool, threatens another person, or interferes with the reference. The operators may take that action without advance notice.

11. Colorado Law

Colorado law governs these terms without applying conflict-of-law principles. Public-record references are subject to the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. 24-72-201 through 24-72-206, while criminal-justice, court, vital, voter, DMV, and protected records follow their own rules. Covered consumer-data rights may arise under the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. 6-1-1301 et seq. Those statutes govern custodians and covered data controllers; this reference does not override them.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The invalid part is limited only as far as required.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Requests for a public record should go to the custodian named on the relevant page.
